Mark Davies is the second of four children to a Welsh father and Spanish mother. He was born in Cheshunt, and almost immediately moved elsewhere. He went to school in south west London, mid-Wales, and Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife before deciding enough was enough. It wasn’t enough, but it’s too late now. To enrich a life in readiness for the business of being an author he spent years doing all kinds of stuff, much of it pointless but all of it valuable, sandwiching this in between prolonged bouts of loafing: teaching assistant, running coach, television extra, lyricist, bass player, ghost writer, karaoke presenter, sports marketing manager, hospital porter and is a serial optimist despite all signs to the contrary. He currently lives in Fuerteventura with his wife and two young daughters. And a cat, also female. He tolerates the internet and it is, frankly, a miracle he has been persuaded to contribute to this blog at all.
